Q. How do I find a review for a book, film, or play?

Try these databases found on the A-Z Databases list, or How to find Criticisms or Reviews page.

Academic Search Complete

• Enter words from the title, or name of the author and title words in the search boxes (note: do not change search field to “Author” – that will find reviews or articles written by your author – not about their book)
• Below the search boxes, are ways to limit your search.
• Under Document Type, choose Book Review, Entertainment Review, or Film Review as needed.
• You may also want to consider limits for Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals, or Full-Text articles.

• Enter the title, or name of the author and title in the search box
• Add the word "review" to your search
