Try these databases found on the A-Z database list, or How to find Criticisms or Reviews page.

Academic Search Complete

  • Enter words from the title, or name of the author and title words in the search boxes (note: do not change search field to “Author” – that will find reviews or articles written by your author – not about their book)
  • Below the green Search Options bar, are ways to limit your search
  • Under Document Type, choose Book Review or Entertainment Review as needed

  • Consider limits for Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals, or Full-Text articles.

 

ProQuest Research Library

  • Enter words from the title, or name of the author and title words in the search boxes (note: do not change search field to “Author” – that will find reviews or articles written by your author – not about their book)
  • Under Search Options, Document Type, check the box for Review

LexisNexis

  • From the left menu, click News then All News
  • Enter words from the title, or name of the author and title words in the search boxes
  • Click the Advanced Search Options (under the search box)
  • In the Article Type box, check the options needed (Book Reviews, Theatre Reviews, etc.)
  • Click Apply, and then Search
